The endwalker login queue is currently at an hour, but the game has been running smoothly even without it. If you’re having problems connecting to the servers, just wait a little longer!
The “ffxiv skip queue” is a feature that allows players to bypass the login queue. This feature has been implemented in order to help alleviate queues at peak hours.
The lineups for Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker’s early access and launch week are lengthy and harsh, with players delayed in line for hours. Some players are reporting that the FFXIV login line is not moving, which is concerning given how long it may take to get into the game in the first place.
The login queue not moving is a problem that has arisen at all of Final Fantasy XIV’s busiest periods, but it does not imply the queue is malfunctioning or that you are trapped in it.
It looks that the login queue is stuck because of a client-side error, or that there aren’t enough individuals signing out. The former seems to be more likely: once your queue position on your client begins to go down after sitting at the same number for a long time, it does so swiftly to tick you down to the spot you are now waiting in line.
Don’t get frustrated and abandon the wait while it is still moving. It’s not stuck at all! Just be patient, and the clock will begin to tick down. This past summer, Final Fantasy XIV achieved its peak player counts, and Endwalker is the game’s largest expansion to yet. Queues will almost certainly be lengthy for the first week or two.
