Russell Wilson is a great player, but he may be one of the worst at following in the footsteps of other players. He has been criticized for not wearing his Nike shoes and jersey like LeBron James and Kevin Durant, as well as not playing like Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant.
Russell Wilson is an American football quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Seahawks with the 12th overall pick in the 3rd round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Russell Wilson has had a whirlwind offseason. Under first-year offensive coordinator Shane Waldron, the Seattle Seahawks quarterback is learning to adjust to a new offensive scheme. That isn’t the only thing in store for the 10-year NFL veteran in 2021. He’s also chosen to follow in Michael Jordan’s and Kobe Bryant’s footsteps.

Wilson and the Seahawks will have a new offensive look in 2021 after working with offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer since 2017. After Schottenheimer and the Hawks parted ways, Seattle hired former Los Angeles Rams pass game coordinator Waldron. Wilson stated in June that he liked the change but that the new system was “very complicated.”
According to The News Tribune, Wilson remarked, “It’s very complicated.” “We’ll be able to transfer people around,” says the narrator. We’ll do all we set out to achieve… I have complete faith in him.”
Wilson will be able to utilize his mobility more often than he did under Schottenheimer since the system is more fast-paced.
“Across the board, we have some subtleties that really test the defense, utilizing the whole field and really extending the offense,” Wilson said. “Just utilizing everyone as much as possible, in all various formations, looks, and tempos,” says the coach.
Russell Wilson made another another switch to emulate Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.
Wilson has had to cope with a number of significant adjustments this summer, including a change in offensive scheme. Wilson also altered up his workout regimen in February. He started working out with Tim Grover, the guy who notably trained Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, for the first time in his career.
Wilson said the chance to work with the guy who coached Jordan and Bryant was fascinating, despite the fact that he claimed the specifics of his workouts remain a “secret.”
He told The Seattle Times, “I believe being surrounded by brilliance is always very essential.”
Grover’s strategy with Wilson seems to be working. The quarterback, who is in his tenth season, claimed he is in excellent shape.
Wilson remarked, “We had a fantastic offseason.” “I feel stronger, quicker, and more prepared than I have in the past, and I am eager to play and win.”
After a difficult offseason, Wilson is focused on 2021.
Wilson caused a stir in the offseason when he said he was upset by all of the hits and sacks he’d received in previous years. There were even rumors of trade negotiations circulating around the NFL. He recently said that he has no issues with the offensive line and that he always has his teammates’ best interests at heart.
He told The Seattle Times, “I believe everyone understands I’m there for them and vice versa.” “And it has always been that way; we have excellent connections up front, and I am looking forward to this season.”
Wilson did not participate in the team’s first preseason game, but he is always eager to play. He’s not sure whether that will be the case when the Seahawks take on the Denver Broncos on Saturday.
He remarked, “I’m always wanting to play.” “I have no idea what will happen. Coach has the final say. We’ll see how things go.”
