The New England Patriots quarterback has been accused of being a “bad teammate” by former Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett, who recently signed with the Packers. Brady, however, refuted these claims in an interview on WEEI’s Kirk and Callahan Show.
Tom Brady is a New England Patriots quarterback and one of the greatest in NFL history. The article brady belichick talks about how Brady passionately debunks a damaging lie about his relationship with Belichick.
When Tom Brady unexpectedly departed the New England Patriots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last year, everyone appeared to have an explanation. The most widely held belief was that Brady’s worsening relationship with Bill Belichick ultimately pushed him over the edge, and he needed to break away from his longtime head coach.
Brady put such speculations to rest after beating Belichick and the Patriots in his highly anticipated return to Gillette Stadium on Sunday night.

The whole football world was focused on Brady’s first trip back to Foxboro since he left for the Buccaneers in 2020. The battle lived up to the anticipation, and it was by far the greatest narrative of the early NFL season to thus far.
Brady was stymied by Belichick’s defense from the start, with the Bucs scoring only six points in a drizzly first half. After a touchdown throw from Mac Jones to Jonnu Smith gave the Patriots a one-point lead in the fourth quarter, Brady answered with a lengthy drive that culminated in a field goal. With just over two minutes left, New England and Tampa Bay exchanged field goals, setting Jones up for a game-winning drive.
Brady’s revenge win was sealed when the rookie quarterback drove his team into field goal range, but Nick Folk’s 56-yard effort clanked against the left upright.
After the game, the former Patriot talked about his old head coach, which was an emotional night for him.
Bill Belichick’s connection with Tom Brady is debunked.
Fans watched as Brady and Belichick had a quick embrace on the field after the game clock hit zero on Sunday night before heading to their locker rooms. Fans instantly assumed the two’s relationship was strained because of the strange conversation, which lasted just a few seconds.
Brady, on the other hand, refuted the notion in his postgame remarks.
Our partnership has gotten a lot of attention. As I said earlier this week, as a player, you just expect the coach to give you all he has, and I’m sure that’s what he expected from me. But nothing I’ve ever seen is really accurate. It’s all sort of… and it’s not based on my own emotions or views. As a coach, I hold him in high regard.
After the game, Brady and Belichick didn’t say much on the field, but they spoke afterwards away from the cameras.
“Whoever describes our connection incorrectly is absolutely wrong.”

After the game, Belichick allegedly went into the Buccaneers locker room and spoke with Brady privately for approximately 20 minutes. It was a fitting send-off for the two future Hall of Famers, who had spent the previous two decades trying to keep the facts of their relationship hidden from the public eye.
That’s why fans concocted the story of Brady being chased out of town by a failing relationship. On Sunday night, he reiterated to NBC’s Peter King that it was never about his emotions for Belichick.
According to King, Brady replied, “It was a very personal, private issue.” “We’ve always had a connection where we can say anything we want to one other. You know, anyone describes our connection as such is absolutely incorrect. People want to concentrate on so much irrelevant information. You know what I mean? We were together for more than two decades, and we were very productive and successful, and I learnt a great deal from him. I had a great time here, and I had a great time with him.”
Brady and Belichick will always be NFL icons, and they will always be close friends, regardless of what the rest of the world thinks.
