The Nintendo Switch will be getting a new game this fall called World War Z. The game is based on the popular novel of the same name and features zombies in an open world.
The wwz game is a video game based on the 2013 film of the same name. It will be released for the Nintendo Switch this fall.
Since its debut in 2019 for every major system save Nintendo Switch, zombie decimation simulator World War Z (loosely based on the film, very loosely based on the book) has gathered a devoted fanbase. But that’s about to change, as the Switch port emerges from the shadows.
World War Z will launch on Nintendo’s platform on November 2nd, according to Saber Interactive, which has worked on a number of previous adaptations, including the Switch edition of The Witcher 3.
The game will cost $39.99 in both physical and digital formats, with a Deluxe Edition costing $49.99. That edition will also include a weapon and skin pack. The basic game will take up 6.7GB of your hard drive.
Despite the Switch’s hardware limitations in contrast to other platforms on which the game may be played, the announcement trailer below is stunning. Even if the gameplay is contained inside a Nintendo Switch cutout.
For those who missed it when it originally came out, World War Z is a co-op shooter based on the World War Z film (technically not the World War Z book). Guns, bombs, and any other methods required are used by players to shred and destroy hordes of zombies, either alone or with three other friends.
Competitive options are available, as they are in almost every online game these days, with World War Z’s PvPvZ variants pitting players against one other and the undead.
However, it isn’t the only zombie-slaying action coming from the series this autumn. New locales, weaponry, a first-person mode, and other features are included in World War Z: Aftermath. It will be released on September 21, but not on the Nintendo Switch.
